- Allan R. Bomhard
Allan R. Bomhard is an American linguist, born in 1943 in Brooklyn, NY. He was educated at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Hunter College, and the City University of New York and served in the U.S. Army from 1964—1966. He currently resides in Charleston, SC. He has studied the controversial hypotheses about the underlying unity among the proposed Nostratic and Eurasiatic language families. He has published over fifty articles and six books on Comparative-Historical Linguistics, as well as a number of books/booklets on Buddhism (see below).
