- Encash Network Service
Encash Network Services, or ENS, is an
interbank network that connects the ATMs of fourrural bank s in thePhilippines , eventually aiming to expand to include all rural banks in the Philippines. Its main competitor is Nationlink, which caters to the same clientele. ENS is currently a member ofMegaLink that has interconnection with other Philippine main interbank networks such asBancNet andExpressnet .ENS is expected to provide a low-cost solution for banks who wish to utilize ATMs but cannot afford the costs of connecting to any of the three main networks. It could also be the first interbank network in the Philippines to fully adopt
EMV technology on all its ATM cards, although the regularmagnetic stripe card s are also an option for the network.ENS will operate a switch-in-front architecture, connected to appropriate transaction authorization entities. These will include Member Bank CA/SA systems, Smart Money/Smart Padala systems, VISA or Mastercard when available, POS or any other applicable setup. ENS ATMs will be stationed more appropriately at points where commercial banks have minimal presence. Thus, ENS present both rural and commercial bank ATM cardholders with the convenience of having more access to ATMs in more locations all over the country.

November 16 ,2007 and plans to implement anEFTPOS network as well.Members
