Thiocarbanilide is an organic chemical compound. It is also known as sym-Diphenylthiourea, Diphenylthiourea, Diphenylurea,1,3-diphenyl-2-thiourea, DPTU, 1,3-diphenylthiourea, and Sulfocarbanilide.

Uses

Thiocarbanilide is commonly used as a vulcanization accelerator for rubber,and as a stabilizer for PVC and PVDC.

Toxicology

Oral, rat: LD50 = 50 mg/kg.
