Biography

She was born on October, 1986 in Cithukadu, India. Real name Namita M Vankawala, studied at Ratnam Arts College, Surat. Her father is a businessman and her mother is a housewife. She became popular after acting in the Tamil film Engal Anna with Vijayakanth.

Film Career

She started out by participating in the Femina Miss India Contest. She was crowned Miss Surat in 1998 and came fourth in the Miss India contest during the year 2001 along with Trisha Krishnan and Celina Jaitley, who was crowned Miss India Universe.

She has acted in Telugu,Tamil, Kannada, Hindi films. Although she started out in the Telugu film industry, she became famous after the Tamil film "Engal Anna" opposite Vijayakanth. She starred in Tamil Film "Aai" the song "Arjuna Arjuna" along with Sarath Kumar, which ended up as a big hit. This movie dubbed in Hindi as "Nayi Baazi" (going to release very soon). Her screen name for the first two Telugu movies was Bhairavi.
