Samantha John is a media and entertainment personality in Trinidad and Tobago. She can currently be seen as a news anchor on CCN TV6. Daughter of Terence Sanowar and Jeanette Shing-hon, she grew up in Glencoe Trinidad and Attended the Bishops Anstey High School.

Samantha's media career began at Radio Trinidad, as an announcer in 2000. She then moved on to 95.1FM, co-hosting and producing for the morning-drive programme, as well as producing for 105 FM’s Mixed Nuts and 106FM's "Women First" programme. Some time after Samantha became Vibe CT 105Fm’s mid morning announcer.

Under the name "Sammy Jo" she then moved to WEFM 96.1 where she presented their mid-morning radio programme. Sammy Jo can also be seen regularly on Synergy TV, as their Entertainment Correspondent, host and producer of "Synergy's All Access".

She is also an actress and co-founder of the Fine Tune, Announcing and Broadcasting School, at which she also lectures. She joined CCN TV6 as a presenter and producer in 2006.
