Robert Huff (Rob Huff) of Britain (born December 25, 1979) is part of Chevrolet's WTCC motor racing team, driving the Lacetti alongside the more experienced Alain Menu and former Formula One driver Nicola Larini, who he initially regarded as heroes but as gradually learnt to see as equals [http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/motorsport/article1471138.ece] .

Early years

A Christmas Day birth in 1979, he had a long junior career in karting. He won the 2000 Formula Vauxhall championship, and class B of the 2001 Ethyl MG Championship (also finishing as runner-up in this series in 2000). His father's Chartered Surveying firm has been one of his main sponsors.

Touring Cars

However, Huff entered the big time by winning the inaugural SEAT Cupra Challenge in 2003 [http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21988] , winning a paid drive in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) for the next season alongside former champion Jason Plato as a result. He adjusted well, finising 7th overall with wins at Brands Hatch and Snetterton.
