The Romsdal Museum (no: Romsdalsmuseet) in
Molde ,Norway was founded by Peter Tønder Solemdal in 1912, and is one of the largest and most extensive folk museums in the country.Departments:
* The open-air museum at Reknes in Molde has a collection of more than 40 buildings (barns, farm houses, stables, workshops etc.) from the
Romsdal region, dating from the 16th to the 20th centuries. A recreated city street shows what most of the city looked like previous to the 1916 fire. The area also hosts an outdoor scene for concerts.* Museum of the Fisheries, a collection of 15 buildings, recreating the maritime
culture of a coastal community in the 17 and 1800s. It is located on the islandHjertøya in theMolde archipelago , and is serviced by water taxi from Molde.* Museum of the
