FASA Studio

FASA Studio

FASA Studio (formerly FASA Interactive) was a video game developer that was spun off from the tabletop game company FASA Corporation, founded in 1980 by Jordan Weisman and L. Ross Babcock.

FASA Interactive (Previously known as FASA Interactive Technologies or FIT) was merged with Virtual World Entertainment to form Virtual World Entertainment Group (VWEG). In 1999, Microsoft Corporation purchased VWEG to acquire the talent at FIT. The VWE component of VWEG was sold off. FASA Interactive then became a fully owned subsidiary of Microsoft Game Studios, including a name change to match. As such, the company developed games exclusive to the Windows and Xbox platforms. Its headquarters were located in Redmond, WA, only a few miles from Microsoft Corporation's main campus.

FASA was officially shutdown on September 12, 2007 with only the Community Manager and Technical Support Manager positions remaining active to support their games.
