Idiotlamp Productions Limited, more commonly known simply as idiotlamp, is a small independent production company based in London, UK. The company was formed in 2001 by the writing/producing/directing partnership of Jim Field Smith and George Kay, who are now listed as joint directors of the limited company formed in January 2005 with company number 5325054. Idiotlamp makes TV and radio programmes, short films and commercials.

Credits

TV and film production credits include the recent short film "WHERE HAVE I BEEN ALL YOUR LIFE" (2007, 20 mins), written by George Kay and directed by Jim Field Smith, and starring Imelda Staunton and James Corden. Previously films include the acclaimed shorts "GOODBYE TO THE NORMALS" (2006), "MISSING MOSCOW" and the mini documentary series "MY FRIEND..." for Channel 4.

Idiotlamp has also produced a number of award winning commercials and viral campaigns, working with leading traditional advertising agencies such as Crispin Porter + Bogusky as well as newer digital agences such as Glue London and Lean Mean Fighting Machine, for clients including Burger King, Boots, AOL, MINI and Virgin Games.
