Stephen Evans (born 27 November 1970) is a British actor and comedy writer of theater, film, radio and television.

Member of four-man comedy sketch group Dutch Elm Conservatoire. Nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award at the 2005 Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the show "Dutch Elm Conservatoire in Conspiracy". "The Dutch Elm Conservatoire" performed their last live show "Prison" at the 2006 Edinburgh festival and the Belfast theatre festival in November 2006. They intend to return to the stage with a new sketch show in late 2008.

Stephen graduated with a BA (Hons) degree in Theatre at Dartington College of Arts in Devon ( 1992-95 ). He has appeared in various productions for BBC television including; "Vine" in two series of Hyperdrive, Nighty Night, My Family, Holby City, "Fear of Fanny" by Brian Fillis, directed by Coky Giedroyc for BBC 4, "No Signal" SkyTV, and most recently The Green Green Grass by John Sullivan (BBC).
Stage work includes a 24hr play called "The Warp" with director/performer Ken Campbell. Also Stephen wrote and performed in a sketch troupe called The Benders. Film work includes "Dust", "Spivs", "Antmuzak", "Blakes Junction 7" and "Shooters". He recently played a referee in the latest short by Tim Plester called "World of Wrestling" which has been released and will be available on DVD in early 2008. He has also written for shows such as "Revolver" and "Velvet Soup" for BBC Scotland and BBC Radio 1's late night comedy "The Milk Run". He appeared in an adaptation of the novel "The Dark Is Rising" ("The Seeker") by Susan Cooper for Twentieth Century Fox.

For 2008 Stephen can be seen in the forthcoming series of "Comedy Cuts" on ITV2, and is also working on a television sketch show with "The dutch elm conservatoire" for ITV2. He has recently recorded a television pilot for Miranda Harts own sitcom, "Miranda Hart's Joke Shop", for the BBC2 which has now gone to series and will air in 2009.

Stephen has also recently featured in two short films. "Curtains" was written and directed by Julian Barratt and Dan Jemmett. It will be released in Autum, 2008, and "Trimming the Fat" written and directed by Matt Huntley for "BBC Films/Idiotlamp Productions", also featuring Matthew Horne, Ben Willbond and Tony Way.
