The Avenging Host is a group of characters in Marvel Comics "Earth X" series of comic books. The concept of the group was created by Jim Krueger and Alex Ross in "Paradise X" #0 (April, 2002).

Members of the host included Black Bolt, Captain America, Daredevil, Doctor Doom, Hank Pym, Phoenix and Tony Stark.

In the storyline Captain Mar-Vell created an artificial "Paradise" and using the High Evolutionary's equipment he captured and transformed the souls of the members of the Avenging Host, turning them into beings who could help him in ushering the souls of other dead beings to his new "Paradise".

Those who entered this "Paradise" then consumed a piece of the Cosmic Cube, enabling them to create their own, seemingly perfect pocket reality. Hawkeye joined the host as an angel at the end of the last issue.
