shopping centre inAberdeen ,Scotland and the city has for centuries been the main shopping destination for a huge catchment area. Since opening (St Nicholas 1985, Bon Accord 1990) the Bon Accord-St Nicholas Centre has formed the prime retailing area in Aberdeen. The centre is split in to two buildings and has altogether three floors extending to convert|630000|sqft|m2|abbr=on over two levels. Parking is attached with around 500 spaces and disabled and parent/child spaces are available. The Centre was built in a serpentine shape to maximize shop unit frontage and is covered by a barrel vaulted glazed roof with a convert|90|ft|m|abbr=on high glazed dome.Anchor Stores

Marks & Spencer , Boots New Look, Next and Woolworths. Other stores includeThe Body Shop ,River Island , GAME,Currys.digital ,zavvi andW H Smith .Improvement Plans
The two centres are set to make huge improvements in the forthcoming years as part of the
Aberdeen Masterplan .Next will open a new store roughly the same size of New Look's store, in June 2009 after construction work to accommodate them finishes. This will include 300 new car parking spaces, and a new entrance fronting onto the Gallowgate.
In the Summer of 2008, new lifts were installed in the centre.
The plan in the long term for the Bon Accord/St Nicholas Centre is to transform the 1st floor of St Nicholas into covered retail space, and a second floor with a food terrace. Whilst the Bon Accord Centre will be extended across Loch Street to join onto John Lewis, and will offer double height retail units.
Oct 2008- Bon Accord has just announced that they have signed up Karen Millen/Oasis/Coast/Warehouse and Topshop/Topman to form their new central atrium re-furbishment. Warehouse will move from its current location in the basement of Miss Selfridge in the St Nicholas Centre, Coast and Oasis will move from their smaller locations within the Bon Accord Centre, to join Karen Millen in the four stores behind Costa, where Zavvi,AB10,D2 Jeans and the old Adams childrens clothing store currently are. Topshop/Topman will take a new flagship concept store of 16,000sqft which will be created from joining the current Dorothy Perkins/Burtons store with the vacant Dolcis store located next door.All of these new stores are scheduled to open around the same time as the new Next Store above them in June 2009.Next will move to this much larger store from their current two store location in the St Nicholas Centre. It has not been confirmed if TopShop/Topman will also remain at their current Union/Market St cirener location
Dorothy Perkins & Burtons will open a new Larger store in the new Union Square Centre in Autumn 2009.
