Voacangine (12-methoxyibogamine-18-carboxylic acid methyl ester) is a tryptamine derivative found predominantly in the rootbark of the "Voacanga africana" tree, as well as in other plants such as "Tabernanthe iboga", "Tabernaemontana africana", "Trachelospermum jasminoides" and "Ervatamia yunnanensis".
