Tyrie was educated at
Felsted School , andTrinity College, Oxford , where he received an MA in PPE in 1979. He then went to theCollege of Europe inBruges , then did an MPhil atWolfson College, Cambridge . He worked at the group head office atBP from 1981-3. From 1990-1, he was a Fellow atNuffield College, Oxford , then a senior economist at theEuropean Bank for Reconstruction and Development from 1992-7.Parliamentary career
He contested Houghton and Washington in 1992. He is chairman of the
All-Party Parliamentary Group onExtraordinary Rendition , a Group of politicians in the UK Parliament established in December 2005 to examine the issue of extraordinary rendition and related issues.External links
