Ronald W. Zweig is an

Zweig studied at the
University of Sydney , then moved toEngland . After graduating with aPhD in Modern History from theUniversity of Cambridge Zweig was the Junior Fellow in Modern History at theOxford University Center for Hebrew Studies from 1977-1978. He then joined the staff ofHebrew University inJerusalem , and in 1983 transferred to the Department of Jewish History atTel Aviv University , serving as Chair from 2003-2004. From 1983 to 2000 he edited the Journal of Israeli History, and also edited the online edition of thePalestine Post (1932-1950).In 2004
New York University invited Zweig to occupy a newly established chair in Israel studies that was inaugurated in 2005. He accepted the offer and moved to theUnited States , and now serves as the director of the Taub Center for Israel Studies at NYU. In addition, he is a member of the Historical Advisory Panel to theNational Archives inWashington, D.C. .Books
