Lars Peter Karlsson (born February 17, 1966 – died March 11, 1995), was a Swedish professional ice hockey player for Västerås IK in Elitserien.
Death
Peter Karlsson was murdered by a 19-year-old skinhead who used a knife to stab him 64 times. The murder is believed to have happened because Karlsson was gay[citation |last=Britton |first=Bruce |url=http://www.league-ncr.com/library/history/heritage8.html |title=Our Gay and Lesbian Heritage, Part 8 |periodical=League @ NCR |accessdate=2007-10-30] and the killer subsequently claimed that Karlsson tried to initiate a relationship.
