Formed in 1965 as Mid Cheshire College, changing to Northwich RUFC in 1989. Running 3 senior, 1 women's and 10 junior sides. This club has won the Cheshire community club of the year in 2003/4/5 and the BBC North West community club award in 2006.

Senior rugby
2009-2010 season
At the start of the 2009-10 season Northwich were looking to push for promotion from North West 1. In order to do this, they appointed Romanian Dodo Muntean as player/coach. With a strong 1st team which included a couple of player returning from New Brighton they started the season with 5 wins and 3 losses in the first 8 league games and a win in the 1st round of the Cheshire Cup against local rivals Sandbach.
Colts rugby
The senior colts team are currently very strong with many players already having senior appearances under their belts.

The senior colts started the 2009-10 season in convincing form with 8 wins and 0 losses.
Junior Colts
2009-2010 season
The under 17's had a tough start to the season with many new faces in the team after a merger with their Knutsford counterparts. They opened the season with 4 losses and 3 draw in their opening 7 matches, however they gained their 1st victory of the season with a 62-20 home win against Bolton which included 4 tries for their Full Back and Captain.
Ladies Team
2009-2010 season
After a weather ravaged season with a few teams dropping out, Northwich Ladies finished top of North 2 Division and have been promoted to North 1, two divisions below the RFU Championship.
