Yuyutsu

Yuyutsu

Yuyutsu (Sanskrit: युयुत्सू) in the Hindu epic "Mahabharata", was the son of King Dhritarashtra through one of the maids. His birth-origin subjected him to ill-treatment by others. He was a half-brother to Duryodhana and the other Kauravas. Disgusted by the treatment of the Pandavas by the Kauravas, he joined the side of the Pandavas in the Kurukshetra war and was the only son of Dhritarashtra to survive the war but later committed suicide because of constant insults from Bhima, one of the Pandavas. He was younger to Duryodhana but elder than Dushasana.
