RedPoint was created in October
2006 at theI Love Rewards company retreat in Collingwood, Ontario, Canada. Here, a ‘mixology’ contest was held to develop the best tasting beverage. The winners of the contest - Rob Catalano, Jason Fisher, Zakir Hemraj and Matt Lewis-Strauch - created the RedPoint, with each ingredient representing a corporate message. Sour Puss Sour Raspberry liqueur to remember the sour days without vision,Red Bull to instill energy to achieve new goals andCrown Royal to represent the crowning achievement the company is realizing. Since its development, RedPoint has become the
I Love Rewards corporate cocktail. Every Friday at 5:00 pm, employees gather into the RedPoint Lounge (employee company lounge) for First Round Fridays to enjoy a RedPoint in its signature glass. It has also been consumed at the end of each fiscal quarter to celebrate the achievement of corporate goals. The RedPoint lounge features the RedPoint logo above its doorway, red painted walls, aRed Bull -sponsored fridge and a couple of sectional couches to relax and unwind.
RedPoint is also enjoyed by people outside ofI Love Rewards . Recently, it has been served in local bars in the downtown Toronto area.References
