We would like to now announce our 2008 National Merit Semi-Finalists. They are as follows: Thomas Maples, Katrina Miguel, Christopher Rzeznik, and Travis Lagrone. Roy Atwood was commended. Sports teams are nicknamed the Hebron Hawks (with Lady Hawks referring to women's sports) and the school colors are black, silver and blue. The official school mascots are Harry the Hawk.

Football players are encouraged to "Bring the Wood" (abbreviated BTW) by their coaches and a large plank of wood can be seen at football games with the phrase inscribed on its side. The popular slogan has earned Hebron's stadium the nickname "The Woodshed." "Bring the Wood" was invented by members of the 2000 Freshman Hawks Football team, also the first team to win a district championship in football winning the 2000 District 9-4A district championship for Freshman teams." The hawk talon, raised in the air while singing the alma mater, is made by curling the index and middle finger in the air while bending the thumb toward the palm in a similar fashion and tucking the ring and pinky fingers into the palm completely.
