Paul Mounsey (born 15 April, 1959) is a musician from Scotland.

He has lived in Brazil since 1985, and has found similarities between traditional Scottish folk music and Brazilian music. Paul Mounsey is an honours graduate from Trinity College, London where he studied with Richard Arnell. While there, he met his Brazilian wife, Dorinha. He lectured for a short while at Goldsmiths College before moving on as creative director of Play It Again, one of the biggest commercial music houses in Brazil. He has written numerous film and television soundtracks, both Brazilian and British.

Discography

He recently composed a song called "Senses" especially for the VisitScotland television commercial. "Senses" is an edited version of the original song "North", from his album "Nahoo Too".

Mounsey also worked on two Runrig albums, "The Stamping Ground" (2001) and "Proterra" (2003).
