Sean Curtis Green (born
February 2 1970 inSanta Monica, California ) is a retired American professionalbasketball player andUSAT certifiedtriathlon coach. Green played basketball for #2 nationally ranked high schoolOak Hill Academy in 1987. He then attendedNorth Carolina State University (1 year) and Iona College (3 seasons), and was selected 41st overall by theIndiana Pacers in the1991 NBA Draft . After playing 2 years with Indiana, Green opted to be traded to thePhiladelphia 76ers . At the midpoint of his third year Green was traded to theUtah Jazz (withJeff Hornacek ), where he finished the 1994 season, and his NBA venture.Green went on to play 8 more years professionally in Europe/Asia/South America:
Venezuela (Puerto La Cruz '94 and '97 and Guanare '02),Israel (Jerusalem '95),Italy (Milano '96 and Napoli '97),Philippines (Manila '97 and '00),Turkey (Istanbul 98-00) andFrance (Dijon '01).In 2004 Green created Green Storm Fitness LLC, a duathlon and triathlon racing team and personal and multisport training company based in New York City's metropolitan area.
