provincial park located on the shores ofLake Huron beside the small village ofInverhuron, Ontario , nearTiverton, Ontario ,Canada . Ontario Hydro purchased the park from the Ministry of Natural Resources in 1973 for issues of safety and securitydummy] . Ontario Hydro also signed a 999 year lease with the Ministry which allowed the park to operate as a day use park only -- overnight camping was completely phased out by 1976. When Bruce Nuclear closed and decommissioned its Heavy Water plant in 1998, safety concerns where minimized and the process of opening up the park again for overnight camping began.On July 8th 2005, the park re-opened as an overnight camping destination featuring 125 private campsites with electrical service, convenient comfort stations, and an improved network of trails.
