Pohénégamook, Quebec (pop. 3097) is a Canadian town on the
International Boundary inQuebec 's Témiscouata Regional County Municipality.The town shares the border with
Estcourt Station, Maine , the northernmost point inNew England .As 2001, Pohénégamook had 3097 people, 97% of them were white, 1% First Nation, 0.3% Black and 0.3% Asian, 1.4% other.
The town is named after
Lake Pohenegamook and is situated on the lake's southern and western shores.Pohénégamook is a recent amalgamation of the formerly independent communities of Estcourt, Saint-Éleuthère, Village-Blier and Sully.
