Meridian Shopping

Meridian Shopping (formerly and more commonly known as The Meridian Centre) is a shopping centre in Havant, Hampshire, England. The building work began in 1987 and was completed in 1991 when the centre officially opened.^[1] It includes large shops such as Wilkinson and Argos and it includes the local library.^[2]

First Floor

The first floor has a number of unleased shop units and is generally occupied by independent traders these include a hair and beauty salon www.bodyworks-clinic.com, Portsdown Community Church and Media Entertainment. Access to the library is available from the first floor as well as the Ground floor.

Ground Floor

The centre's main stores are located on the ground floor; shops such as WHSmith, F. Hinds, Robert Dyas, O2, Holland and Barrett and qs. The ground floor also contains a Boswell's coffee shop and the aforementioned Wilkinson and Argos. The units on the ground floor are not only occupied by large companies, there are a number or independent fashion retailers including gamescape a gaming stor

Future

In early 2006 the centre was refurbished complete with a new logo. The centre and its car parks were sold to Callander Properties in March 2007 and the current managing agents are Northern Irish Shopping Centre specialists BTW Shiells.
