The Army of Sambre-et-Meuse ( _fr. Armée de Sambre-et-Meuse) is the most well known of the armies of the
French Revolution . In was formed29 June ,1794 with the Army of Ardennes reinforced with the left wing of theArmy of Moselle and the right wing of theArmy of the North .Reunited with the
Army of Rhine-et-Moselle , it later became the Army of Germany.Battles
After the storm of
Tournai andOstend , the Convention declared that the army had merited honors. The army won more honors after the storm ofBrussels , the storm ofMaastricht , and the storm ofAix-la-Chapelle .
