Sony Music (the label that released the single), taking advantage of the title of the song, used it as a project of the Japanese government for promoting tourism for Japanese people to visit the island ofGuam (an island really attractive for Japanese tourist) with video also recorded in there. The single was a moderate success selling pretty well for a debut single. It debuted at #5 in the Oricon Weekly Charts selling 288,000 copies aroundJapan .The song "Love the Island" and its B-Side, called "Asu, Atsuku, Motto, Tsuyoku" included in this single are such pure
