Arash Majidi

Arash Majidi (PerB|آرش مجیدی) is an award winningFact|date=October 2007 Iranian journalist, newscaster and editor for Iran’s state-run broadcasting organization, the IRIB. He has been working with the organization since 1999. Majidi is the son of a military pilot and a veteran IRIB newscaster, Simin Sedaghat.

He started his broadcast carrier as a narrator and writer for a series on new technologies for the IRIB's Channel 2. Arash Majidi has been covering scientific and economic news for the IRIB radio since 2001. He has been actively involved in promoting environmental issues such as the Caspian Sea’s pollution within the state-run IRIB.

Majidi earned his degree in veterinary medicine from the Islamic Azad University in the city of Garmsar, which is the birthplace of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
