Nas ' debut album "Illmatic ". It begins with the sound of subway trains before a sample ofMain Source 's "Live at the Barbeque" plays. The specific sample features Nas delivering the first six lines of his music career. Once that sample ends, a sampled dialogue from the 1982 film "Wild Style " plays. As Hector and Zoro, two characters from "Wild Style" converse, a sample from the song "Subway Theme" byGrand Wizard Theodore andChris Stein is used.
