Jason DeRusha is an American television journalist, who grew up outside of
Chicago . While he currently works as a reporter inMinneapolis , he has reported inMilwaukee and anchored inDavenport ,Iowa . In some circles, he might be better known as a blogger and frequent contributor to many online communities.Currently, DeRusha is a general assignment reporter at
WCCO-TV inMinneapolis ,Minnesota . He joined the CBS affiliate in April 2003. He won a 2004 Regional Emmy for his series called "Jason's Talking About." Marquette University inMilwaukee ,Wisconsin . He served as news director of the campus news station.Personal
DeRusha currently resides in Maple Grove,
Minnesota with his wife Alyssa, sons Seth, Sam, and dog Baxter. Alyssa is a Twin Cities native and graduate ofWayzata High School . The two met online in a campus chatroom while studying at Marquette University.In his free time, DeRusha enjoys art. He collects glass art and frequents art museums, fairs, and the like.
