Better Off Out

Better Off Out (BOO) is the name of a non-party campaign run by The Freedom Association to call for the United Kingdom's withdrawal from the European Union. It was formed in 2006.BBC 2007]

Other supporters included the economists Ruth Lea and Patrick Minford.

The patrons of the campaign are Lord Tebbit, the former Chairman of the Conservative Party and Frederick Forsyth, the best-selling author. The late Lord Weatherill, the former Speaker of the House of Commons was also a patron of the campaign.

In 2007 the Conservative Central Office warned that BOO was contrary to Conservative party policy.BBC 2007]
