Stuart Laing (born birth date|1969|11|28|df=y in London) is an English actor. He is probably best known for his role of Rob Minter in the popular BBC soap opera "EastEnders".

Laing trained at The Drama Centre, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, London.

Laing's first acting role was a guest part in "Minder" in 1994. He made many appearances in television shows during 1995 and 1996, including "Strike Force", "Devil's Advocate", "3 Steps to Heaven" and "Blood and Peaches". He also made a one-off appearance in "Heartbeat". He then appeared in his first movie, "Gaston's War", playing Harry. He also appeared in cult horror film Cradle of Fear as one of the main roles, although the film was low budget. He appeared in many more television shows and dramas before getting a role in BBC Three's "Burn It", playing Mike.

In 2003 Laing played the role of Jack Hewit, the lover of Tom Hollander's Guy Burgess and Samuel West's Anthony Blunt, in the critically acclaimed BBC miniseries "Cambridge Spies".

In 2004-2005 Laing played Simon Parker in the BBC medical drama television serial "Holby City". In September 2005 he played the grief-stricken father Jeff Clarke in the second live episode of "The Bill".

He is currently starring in Drowning on Dry Land at the Salisbury Playhouse and will be doing so until Saturday 27 September 2008
