He currently lives in Palo Alto. Ting currently works at the Fremont Sports Therapy and Surgery Center, which is responsible for the medical treatment of many Bay Area professional sports organizations, including the Oakland Raiders. His twin sons, Brandon and Ryan, played American football for the University of Southern California. One was a wide receiver and the other played cornerback for the USC Trojans.
