Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Kepong Baru, sometimes abbreviated as SMKB, is a public secondary school located in Kuala Lumpur. Established in 1977, its motto is "to make today better than yesterday", and its school song is "Berusaha Menuju Kejayaan".
SMKB has shown that it has capabilities in everything especially in sports and academic performing every year without fail. This school is growing and has the potential to become one of the best schools in Malaysia if not Asia. Led by brilliant discipline from the teachers and this school is heading towards new heights.
The school publishes a yearly school magazine titled 'Mutiara'(Pearl) that chronicles events of that year. Currently there is a 2008 Mutiara published and circulated to all students and teachers.
The school famous sport is the basketball team, athletic and chess club. They make the school proud.
