The Guelph Tribune was founded on
September 30 ,1986 as the Royal Tribune, a once a week community newspaper. The paper was later renamed the Guelph Tribune and is now published twice a week since the mid-1990s. It focuses on all local news. The Tribune has had five owners and eight publishers since its start.Present
Torstar bought the newspaper from Southam in 2004 and is now part of theMetroland Media Group which also includes regional sister daily newspapers The Record (Kitchener, Cambridge and Waterloo) and theGuelph Mercury , as well as group of weekly newspapers.Newsrooms
Both the Guelph Tribune and
