The majority of players selected for Regime were grade 12 students enrolled at Okanagan Mission Secondary School.

2004/2005 Season

Team Roster

Simon Bailey, Jerome Brewer, Marek Cernansky, Kellen Gaigg, Brent Girling, Luke Hallick, Sean Jones, Justin Kandola, Tyler Klein (Captain/Manager), Chris Malashewsky (Goaltender), Michael Mulholland, Joel Pederson, Chad Pennington, Louis Quander, Chris Simes, Dustan Toth, Brody Tuddenham and James Wilder.

Regular Season

Although initial prospects concerning the Regime's potential were overwhelmingly negative, that hard working attitude and fast play from the group of gritty teenagers proved to be successful. The Regime became known as an explosive offensive team, which was led by top striker Justin Kandola. The Regime's players were often less than half the age of their opponents, but were able to use the strengths of their youth to excel. The team managed to surpass the bottom half of the table projection and finish the regular season in fourth place. Finishing in the top half of the table was a significant accomplishment for the team and set them up well for a long playoff run.

Playoffs

The success of the Regime did not end with the regular season. The first knockout round of the playoffs was a two game series against the Doc's, with the combined aggregate score used to decide the winner. The two teams were tied after the initial game, but the Regime managed to pull away in the second game and secure a place in the quarter finals. The team continued its success in the second round with a landslide victory against the Cornballs. The Regime's semi-final match against Life Mark Physio proved much more challenging. The two teams were neck and neck late in the game, however the Regime once again emerged victorious due in part to a late power play which helped them advance to the finals. The stage was set for the championship game against undefeated Mark V Auto.

Championship Game

The Regime entered into the final game as considerable underdogs. Mark V Auto remained unbeaten all season long and was undoubtedly the Regime's toughest opponent of the post-season by a significant margin. The Regime began the game with high intensity and seemingly caught Mark V Auto off guard. Regime quickly went up a goal, and made it 2-0 just before the half time intermission. However, Mark V Auto regrouped during the break and made it 2-1 early in the second half. Not to be outdone, the Regime quickly regained its two goal lead and nearly made it three, beating the opposing goaltender but not the post. With time winding down Mark V Auto proved why they were unbeaten all season long. A late flurry of shots tied the game at 3-3, which the score remained until the end of regulation. Both teams prepared for overtime during a short intermission. Mark V Auto continued its success from late in the match, and made it 4-3 early in the first half overtime, but the Regime had equalized before the half was over. With penalty shots looming, the second half of overtime began. Both teams battled hard to pull ahead, and chances opened up for each side. However, another late flurry of shots from Mark V Auto pushed them ahead 5-4, and then the game was clinched in the dying minutes with the opponent's sixth goal of the match. When time expired Mark V Auto had won the match 6-4 in overtime and the Regime were forced to settle as runner's up. The result was an enormous disappointment for the Regime but the overwhelming success of the team throughout the season inspired them to make another run at the cup in the following year.
