Hedrum

Hedrum

Hedrum is a former municipality in Vestfold county, Norway.

It was created as Hedrum formannskapsdistrikt in 1837, bordering the city of Larvik. Small parts of Hedrum were moved to Larvik in 1875, 1937, 1948 and possibly 1855. Border adjustments between Hedrum and the neighboring municipalities Andebu, Tjølling and Siljan also took place.

On 1 January 1988 Hedrum was incoroprated into the enlarged Larvik municipality. Before the merger Hedrum had a population of 10.449.
