Haselbachtal lies about 7 km south-west of the city of
Kamenz and about 35 km north-east ofDresden . TheBundesautobahn 4 passes south of the municipality and can be reached overPulsnitz , which is about 10 km away. The river Pulsnitz flows through Haselbachtal.History
Reichenbach was first mentioned in
1248 . The town emerged during the GermanEast Colonisation . During theThirty Years' War 248 people, which made up most of the population of the village at the time, died of the pest.The borough of Reichenau was first mentioned in
1436 , but is probably much older. In the years from1429 to1431 ,Hussite s pillaged the village and destroyed the church. During theLiberation Wars , firstPrussia n, thenRussia n troops were stationed in Reichenau.The boroughs of Gersdorf and Möhrsdorf were first mentioned in
1225 and1264 , respectively. They belong together sinceFebruary 14 ,1958 .Bischheim was first mentioned in
1225 and was merged with Häslich onJanuary 1 ,1969 .On
