* The USS|Cheyenne|CL-86, was renamed "Vicksburg" a year before she was launched in 1942.
* The USS|Cheyenne|BM-10, was originally the monitor "Wyoming", renamed in 1909, to make "Wyoming" available for the battleship "Wyoming" (BB-32).
* The name "Cheyenne" was assigned to CL-117, but the construction contract was canceled on 12 August 1945.
*The USNS|Cheyenne|T-AG-174, was launched 26 June 1945 and struck 15 June 1973.
