Ubenide Constutuency

Ubenide is a constituency of the Republic of Nauru, in the Pacific.

Features

The constituency is made up of the districts Baiti, Denigomodu, Nibok and Uaboe, and covers an area of 4.5 km², and has a population of 3,300. It returns (as the only constituency) four members to the Parliament of Nauru in Yaren.

Notable local people

Russell Kun, who has served as the Republic of Nauru's Justice Minister and as the Speaker of the Parliament of Nauru, formerly represented Ubenide in Parliament.

David Adeang, formerly Foreign Minister, appointed Speaker of the Parliament of Nauru in 2008, represents Ubenide.
