Diskono

Diskono is an independent record label, based in Penicuik on the south-east coast of Scotland. Diskono, and its offshoot imprint Penthouse Hotplate, has nurtured divergent forms of electronica to all manner of post rock and indie; downtempo breaks to minimal techno; sparse piano compositions to abstract / explosive noise and angular punk pop. Perhaps best known for the discovery of artists such as Felix Kubin, Janek Schaefer and Phenomenological Boys, as well as being instrumental in the re-emergence of Jan Van Den Dobbelsteen.
