Keystone National High School

Keystone National High School is a nationally and regionally accredited private correspondence and online high school for earning a high school diploma based in Pennsylvania. Students can earn their high school diploma at Keystone or take courses to supplement another high school or homeschool program. The school's first courses were introduced in 1974 as part of the Learning and Evaluation Center. Keystone took its current name and became a major part of the homeschool market in 1994. Over 200,000 have enrolled in Keystone's educational programs.

Keystone offers programs for college prep and career prep students who are pursuing a Keystone diploma. Students have a choice between correspondence (exams are sent in to the school) and online courses (exams are submitted over the Internet). Honors and AP courses are available, and the course catalog ranges from Pre-Algebra and World Literature, to Biology Lab and Game Design. Keystone graduates have been accepted at many major universities and colleges, including Dartmouth, Duke, NYU, Notre Dame, Rice, Stanford, Yale, and West Point Academy.

For its full-time students, Keystone offers a comprehensive support program, including 75 minutes of free tutoring, a learning coach, teacher response within 24 hours, and an Orientation Course. Students can get involved with the Keystone Community through the student newspaper called "Keystone Connection", the Student Association, and the Keystone Quad--discussion boards, tips for distance learning, information on college and career planning, and more.

Many homeschoolers elect to enroll in Keystone after graduating from middle school programs such as the Calvert School Home Instruction Program. Keystone is a pioneering institution in the field of correspondence education, and one of the first distance learning high schools geared for college-bound homeschooling students.

Mascot and Colors

The mascot of Keystone National High School is the Coyote, as was announced in the school newsletter, KeyNotes, after a student-wide vote. The school colors are red and blue.
