- Lancanjiangosaurus
"Lancanjiangosaurus" (meaning "Lancanjiang lizard", named after the Lancanjiang River of
China ) is the informal name given to an as yet undescribedgenus ofdinosaur from the LateJurassic . It was asauropod which lived in what is nowTibet . Thetype species , "L. cachuensis", was coined by Zhou in1985 , but remains a "nomen nudum ". "Lancanjiangosaurus" was probably similar to "Cetiosaurus ", a sauropod found inEurope andAfrica . The fossils of "Lancanjiangosaurus" were found inXizang (Tibet). As the name has been undescribed for so long, the remains may have been named something else by now.References
