"Rock 'n' Roll Singer" is a song by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It is the second track of their Australian album "T.N.T.", released in December 1975 (see 1975 in music), and was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott.

"Rock 'n' Roll Singer" is also the second track on the international version of "High Voltage", released in May 1976 (see 1976 in music).

The song is written from the point of view of a person who knew from an early age that he wanted to be a successful rock 'n' roll singer. He continues to follow this dream as an adult, rejecting all offers of a so-called normal life.

It is one of the few AC/DC songs to contain outright profanity (the second to last verse contains the line "and all the other shit that they teach the kids in school"). The same word would later be used in the song "If You want Blood (You've Got It)" from the "Highway to Hell" album.

It has also been clarified that AC/DC recorded a version of the track with Dave Evans, who preceded Bon Scott, sung this song with different lyrics and was recorded at the same sessions as the "Rockin' In The Parlour" and "Can I Sit Next to You, Girl". It was recorded along with Soul Stripper.
