Defence Communication Services Agency

The Defence Communication Services Agency (DCSA) was responsible for the delivery of Information and Communication Services (ICS) across the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence from 1 April 1998 to March/April 2007. These services ranged from fixed and mobile telephones to satellite communication links, and from computers and associated networks/infrastructures to airfield support.

Led by a Chief Executive, the 5,000-strong Agency was a mix of military and non combat staff, based at various locations throughout the UK and around the world.^[1] The DCSA ceased to exist as an agency on March 31 2007 when it was replaced by the Information Systems & Services (ISS) cluster as a part of the new (Defence Equipment & Support) organisation
