John Tye Hill (born June 3, 1982 in St. George, South Carolina) is an American football cornerback, acquired in the 2006 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams.

Early Years

Hill graduated from Woodland High School where during his senior year he rushed for 1,445 yards in seven games.

College career

Hill played college football at Clemson University, where he holds the school 60 metres record with a time of 6.63s. Hill was an All-American selection in 2005. He graduated with degree in human resource development.

Professional career

Hill was drafted in the first round (15th overall) by the St. Louis Rams in the 2006 NFL Draft. While at the 2006 NFL Combine he also posted the fastest electronically timed 40 yard dash—4.31 seconds [ [http://www.nfl.com/draft/story/9273126 2006 NFL Combine Official Times] ] . In his rookie season he started in ten out of 16 games and finished the year with 50 tackles and three interceptions. He made his first career start at the Green Bay Packers on October 8. Last year he played in eight games and finished the season with 35 tackles.
