Mineirinho Full name Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drummond Location Belo Horizonte, MG, Brazil Broke ground 1973 Opened 1980 Owner Minas Gerais state government Capacity Up to 25,000 Mineirinho (officially Estádio Jornalista Felipe Drumond) is the biggest indoor sporting arena of Brazil, located in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. The capacity is 25,000 people and it was built in 1980.
It is also located in the Sports Complex of Mineirão Stadium in the Pampulha, which will be one of the headquarters of the World Cup 2014. The nickname (small Mineiro) is due to being located close to Mineirão (big Mineiro). It is used mainly for basketball and volleyball.
The Arena is also used for nacional and international music concerts and others events.
