History

The Chiefs were founded in Chilliwack, British Columbia in 1970 as the Chilliwack Bruins. They were relocated to Langley for the start of the 2006-07 BCHL season. Chilliwack has acquired a WHL franchise known as the Chilliwack Bruins, forcing the Chiefs to look for a new home. Arrving in Langley led to a new hope for the franchise, with the likes of Nolan Julseth-White, an allstar BCHL defence man and Kyle Mackinnon, leading scorer for the 06-07 season, as well as the likes of Taylor Stefishen, Milos Gordic, and Trevor Elias, the team had a highly successful campaign, finishing third in the Coastal Conference of the BCHL.
