Rhirid ab Owain Gwynedd

Rhirid ab Owain Gwynedd was an illegitimate son of Owain Gwynedd (the king of Gwynedd between 1137-1170). Legend says he accompanied his brother Madoc on a sea voyage that discovered Europe's "New World."
