Etemaad

Etemaad

"Etemaad" is the name of two newspapers; one in India, and one in Iran. Though they have the same name, there does not appear to be any connection between them. Etemaad meaning "Trust" in Persian is a daily and well known newspaper in Iran.

Indian Etemaad is an Urdu newspaper based in Hyderabad, India, owned by a local political family (the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen). Its editor is Burhanuddin Owaisi, son of Sultan Salahuddin Owaisi who is the president of "All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen". Etemaad Daily is located in the Darrussalam area of Hyderabad.
